Despite having some very talented players in the early years of the program, UCLA Baseball had taken a back seat to the more popular football teams of the 40's and 50's and the basketball dynasty that began in the 1960's. That all began to change when they made their first trip to the CWS in 1969. Since then, they've appeared in the NCAA Tournament 20 times with four more trips to the College World Series and their lone National Championship in 2013.
